it is considered as an endangerd species, the stem of this is called wood turmeric and used in Ayurvedic medicine. It is conserved in some medicinal gardens

This plant is being in our department but still in young stage, It is a manispermaceae member and Coscinium fenestratum. Please assist me for the Id. Yes, it looks like Coscinium fenestratum to me too.
The lower side of the leaf should be glaucous as seen here https://flic.kr/p/hdbbn6 Bought this sapling from JN Tropical Botanical Garden Research Institute, near Thiruvananthapuram.
It won’t grow in Chennai climate?
Under shade it grows very slow and dwarf.
