Callistemon rigidus ?

Callistemon rigidus (Stiff Bottlebrush) is a shrub in the family Myrtaceae. It is endemic to the state of New South Wales in Australia.[1]

It grows to between 2 and 3 metres in height and has a stiff, erect habit.[1] The leaves are mostly 50 to 70 mm long and 3 to 4 mm wide. Red flower spikes with darker anthers are produced in summer.[1]
The species was first formally described by botanist Robert Brown in 1820 in Edwards’s Botanical Register.[2]

Requesting for identification of this medium ht tree planted at Joggers park Pune
few red bottle brush flowers
many long hanging wooden colored capsules
there were 8-10 such trees in the park
is this weeping bottle brush tree?

Affirmative. This is a species of Callistemon, natives of Australia. The Weeping Bottlebrush tree [C.viminalis] is larger than the Red Bottlebrush tree [C.citrinus], but is mainly differentiated from the latter by having stamens that are united in a ring at the base [whereas in the latter the filaments are free].
Would think that your tree is the Red Bottlebrush tree as they are commonly planted around here.

Once faced a dilemma because of this tree. As a schoolboy dreamt of having this tree overhanging a water-body. Planted a sapling on my property at Shahapur in 1996 and over the years nurtured it till it grew to a fair height [middle third on the extreme right in photograph 1]. Unfortunately, whichever way you looked at it the bottom line still stood – it was an EXOTIC. My dilemma persisted till the 11th of July 2010.
As an Italian mafioso would say …..”it is now swimming with the fish”.

To me it appears like Callistem
on viminalis (Sol. ex Gaertn.) G.Don ex Loudon only as per images herein. 

This should be C. rigidus which has leaves linear like C. viminalis but capsules persistent for few years
