Any medicinal values? … friends, consider Commicarpus chinensis (synonyms: Boerhavia chinensis, Boerhavia repanda, Valeriana chinensis) This species ‘Commicarpus chinensis’ is mentioned on page 273 of Illustrated Flora of Keoladeo National Park by VP Prasad, Daniel Mason, Joy E. Marburger, CR Ajith Kumar. I agree with you …, this should be Commicarpus chinensis. Why is there so much variations even in botanical names, which are supposed to be standard?
If we have to popularise ‘plant watching and identification’ there should be concerted efforts to bring out a consolidated list of common English names.
