Thanks, … Similar plants were earlier identified as Paeonia officinalis (as per images herein) except for the last image, which appears to be woody.
I did not find mention of Paeonia officinalis in the eFloras site.
Both these are described in Flora of China as per

Are the herbaceous images by Aarti ji (except last one) and in efi site at Paeonia officinalis are of Paeonia lactiflora ?

Interestingly we knew about P. officinalis as popular herbaceous species for a long time, known as Common Garden paeony, and now Cottage Garden Paeony. In fact Bailey manual describes this only not P. lactiflora, the Chinese Paeony has become popular only recently and has overtaken P. officinalis in most gardens, that is why most P. officinalis get marked as lactiflora. Original P. lactiflora used in Chinese medicine had white flowers but now all colours, single and double have been developed. Here is how both can be differentiated:
Paeonia officinalis: Flowers mostly in may in temperate climate, edges of leaves/segments entire, carpels as well as fruits tomentose.
P. lactiflora: Flowers mostly in June in Temperate climate, edges of leaves/segments  denticulate, carpels and fruits glabrous.
Here is my P. officinalis ‘Flore Plena’ from Kashmir on  May 16, 2012.

And yes flowers of P. lactiflora are scented, P. officinalis not scented.
I tried to understand, but seems still confused.
I could not check denticulate nature of edges of the leaves with naked eyes even in the following

Yes as far as I can remember these were shrubs and not plants.

Flowering Shrubs in India By S. L. JINDAL (2017) does not list Paeonia officinalis.

The plant and flowers look similar to my pictures.

Am posting some photos of Tree Peony (P.suffruticosa?) from Srinagar
Habitat: Cultivated but not very common
Habit : Shrub. Perennial. Said to live for centuries
P1,P2 and P3 were taken in April23.Photo4 was taken today only.
