For Id- 090112- Flora Of Madhya Pradesh:
This wild plant, of about three feet height, was growing in a narrow space.. in Betul , MP. Dated- 14 th Dec11.
Flowers were light pink and white n tiny ( pic got blurred…sorry).

Neither planted nor reared in garden. But this has been noticed in the Adyar Eco Park and also along the Adyar River ecosystem in Chennai.


so is it a weed that came during the last few decades? or has it always been here in India?

Is it Duranta?:
A shrub, 1 m tall.  Is it Duranta serratifolia (Griseb.) Kuntze? Could you please validate.


Unable to Id it as Duranta species as the photograph is not very clear.   If you flash some more photographs depicting clearly the fruits (intact) , flowers and foliage the plant can be confirmed.
Nevertheless, the plant looks more like  Revina humilis.
