Is it Garden Penstemon?

I hope the plant is indeed Penstemon as you have said.

This particular garden variety of Penstemon is called ” Vanilla Plum”.

Agree with … It is Garden Penstemon, Penstemon gloxinioides.

I saw these ornamental flowers in Ooty in November 2013.
Requested to please ID.

Please check with Penstemon Species.
Probably Garden Penstemon.

Thank you … It agrees with your images from Kodaikanal – Pestemon gloxinioides.

I could not find any Penstemon gloxinioides in either Catalogue of Life or POWO.
These cultivated plants are really confusing.
So this may also be Penstemon ‘Rubicundus’ as per
Flora of peninsular India mentions one Penstemon rubicundus along with four others (Penstemon azureus, Penstemon campanulatus, Penstemon gentianoides, Penstemon gracilis)

Your images at Penstemon ‘Ice Cream Series’ in FOI may be of Penstemon ‘Rubicundus’ as per images and references herein.
Pl. check.

Thanks …, I have clubbed the cultivars of Penstemon together

OK, …
