Annual glabrous vertically ribbed glabrous herb; leaves suborbicular-spathulate, up to 35 cm long, on up to 10 mm long narrowly winged petiole, margin ciliate, sparsely hairy above; flowers pink, in terminal racemes, up to 6 cm long at anthesis; Peduncle up to 15 mm long subtended by two leaves; bracts and sepals deciduous; sepals 5, outer sepals 3, smaller than inner two; petals 3, keel split at apex without crested appendage; capsule compressed orbicular, 2 mm, scarcely winged.

Please identify this small herb photographed from near hotel Himalayan Paradise, Chakrata, Uttrakhand, on September 17, 2011.
This is very small herb, merely 2-3 inches in height, cofined to wet, shady places.

I think here it is, Polygala tatarinowii (syn: P. triphylla Royle)

Herb for ID from Chakrata- September 2011: This is a small herb for identification, shot from Chakrata during our recent visit to the area.
The plant was confined to moist, shady areas and was nearly 3-5 cm only in height. I hope to find the id.
