Leaves suborbicular or weakly lobed, 2-4.5cm diameter, sparsely pubescent on upper surface near margins; petioles 5-9cm. Scapes 5-10cm, bearing an involucre of 3 minute bracts c 3mm. Sepals white, obovate, 5-7 x 3.5-5mm. Petals c 1mm diameters, stalks 2-3mm. Follicles ovoid, ± compressed, c 8 x 2.5mm, with persistent style c 2mm at apex.

I think it is Parnesia sp.


Some Ranunculaceae member to me.


Finally Identified the taxon, Asteropyrum peltatum (Franch.) J.R. Drumm. & Hutch. (Ranunculaceae). it was the new generic record for India, herewith attaching the article published in current issue of Rheedea. Thanks to … for the initial links..
