Galium spurium subsp. ibicinum (Boiss. & Hausskn.) Ehrend., Pl. Syst. Evol. 127: 305 1977. (Syn: Galium ibicinum Boiss. & Hausskn.; Galium linczevskyi Pobed.);

Dichotomously branched small annual herb with 4-angled stems with retrorsely scabrid angles; leaves in whorls of 4-6, 10-15 mm long, 2-4 mm broad, oblanceolate, retrorsely scabrid along margin, apex mucronate-cuspidate; cyme 1-flowered on 15-25 mm long peduncle; flowers white, 1.5 mm across; fruit didymous, 2-3 mm across, covered with long slightly hooked hairs without broad base.

The plant is closer to G. aparine but clearly differs in less than 6 leaves at each whorl (6-8 in G. aparine) and single flowered cymes.

A small, rough annual. Stems and branches trailing or climbing, clothed with reflexed hairs or prickles on the angles. Leaves in circles of 6-8, 1.2-3 x 0.4-0.6 cm, linear or narrowly lanceolate. Flowers minute, white, tinged with green, borne on axillary 3-flowered stalks, in terminal, leafy, branching racemes. Petals 4, spreading. Fruit covered with hooked bristles, nearly 2-lobed.

Thanks Sir, Should I have waited a little, anyway correction is always good, I have also collected G. aparine from Morni Hills, will try to locate if I have any photograph as well
