These tiny flowers cover the wet floor of our slopes here. Is this some sort of a sandwort? Please advise.

Thank you … for pointing me in the right direction. I will check what Col. Collett has to say about the Oldenlandia species here.

Col. Collett described two species with white flowers (no illustrations unfortunately): O. corymbosa and O. crystallina. The description is quite similar but for corymbosa he says ‘Capsule globose, not ribbed’ and for crystallina ‘Capsule bell-shaped, prominently ribbed’. When will the capsule develop?

Oldenlandia crystallina Roxb. is a
synonym of Oldenlandia pumila (L.f.) DC. as per The Plant List.

The specimen looks different from my collection of O.corymbosa; 1.the leaves and calyx are scabrid, peduncle and pedicel slender and longer than this one; the capsule is globose and and not ribbed. So it may not be O.corymbosa.

while I do appreciate your photographs and write up in the threads I come across, please don’t mind, I need more information and larger images at various angles of different parts of a critical species to arrive at a probable id.

Oldenlandia, Hedyotis and Neanotis are very difficult to identify can be reflected in many of our earlier threads in the group. Because, authors across countries, I think, have varied views on herbaria and literatures of British era; a fact can be seen/read in FoC or other sites.

However, you may try Neanotis hirsuta (L.f.) W.H. Lewis.

Thank you very much … once again. I will be happy to photograph the features you require to see. Please let me know what I need to do and I will get them in a day or two. Neanotis hirsuta looks very likely too.

Attached here the entry in Flora of British India. I would like to see if stipules have long bristle as had been described in FBI, if stems are rooting below. Also would like know if leaves, flower conform to size mentioned in the same record or in FoC – http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=242413768.

It may not, as per eflora china tha calyx lobes is given as 1-2mm, linear lanceolate; corolla 3-4mm – which means corolla sholud be 3 times larger than calyx, but in your specimen calyx corolla ratio is not similar. stipules are not clear, try for another; very difficult to differentiate the three

Unless we have BSI KEy or at least checklist it is very difficult. While I suggested to check probability of Neanotis hirsuta (L.f.) W.H. Lewis. it would be better if we consider the following entities which FBI considered may be synonymous –
