I found the same plant ( at least I seem so) in Uttaranchal, Mayabati<\/span> in, October 2010<\/span>, where I was told the name as Hamiltonia<\/i> – a garden flower. As the pic was no clear – I did not send it for identification- but now the posting of … reminds me of that flower. I am posting the pic. please confirm my id.<\/p>\n

Please note that Salvia leucantha<\/i> is an alien species in this part of the world\u00a0being a native of Mexico. Reported to be cultivated in India and the Himalaya. <\/span>All over the world we have species which have escaped from cultivation and naturalised.\u00a0 ‘Enumeration of the Flowering Plants of Nepal’ give <\/span>an altitudinal range of 1300-1700m.<\/span><\/div>\n
