This species is not so common. These photographs are taken from Yachuli, <\/span>near Yachuli Forest Rest House, Hapoli Forest House, Lower Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/div>\n
Populus gamblei <\/b>Dode <\/font><\/font><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/span><\/div>\n
Large to medium-sized, lofty deciduous tree, 15-20 m high; branches long, spreading; Leaves alternate, simple; blades ovate. Catkin solitary, axillary, appearing with the leaves in the axil of leaf scars, sessile. Male catkins slender, cylindrical, pendulous, lax-flowered; male flowers pedicellate; bracteate; stamens 12-20; filaments <\/span>glabrous. Infructescence 13-15.5 cm long; capsules oblong, linear; seeds many, broadly ellipsoid, with tufts of persistent and spreading hairs from base.<\/font><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/span><\/div>\n
