Can this be a Gouania<\/i> sp. from Rhamnaceae<\/i>, this was<\/font> an unarmed small tree<\/font> from GobindGhat-Ghanghariya Trek..<\/font><\/p>\n

I think it may turn out to be <\/em>Sageretia thea<\/em><\/font><\/a>\u00a0as per details and references herein.<\/div>\n

Interesting species. Uttarakhand has at least five species. Two are described a decade ago by Dr P.K. Pusalkar.<\/p>\n

I will soon add a list of species in India based on flora of India and other sources.<\/div>\n
One more thing- can we add author citation with the name of genus and family as we do with species name (eg Acanthaceae<\/b> Juss.,\u00a0Acanthus<\/b> Tourn. ex L.,\u00a0 Dendrobium<\/b> Sw., Oroxylum<\/b> Vent.) on eFI pages. This addition will make eFI look more scientific. I tried it with Acanthus<\/b> but then realized that it may change the web address of the page and will make it longer. Is there any other way so that it does not affect the web address?<\/font>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Singh (Abstract- Two new species of Sageretia<\/em> Brongn. (Rhamnaceae), S. santapaui<\/em> Pusalkar & D. K. Singh and S. devendrae<\/em> Pusalkar, are described and illustrated. Both species are allied to S. thea<\/em> (Osbeck) M. C. Johnst., but differs in the pubescence of young branches, leaf shape, leaf margins, stipule shape, inflorescence type, length of the inflorescence, number and arrangement of flowers, bracteole number and shape.<\/p>\n
