Thank you …! Hope to get some response from …!

Of course it resemble the P. suipigua (P. nepalense) but the spikes are still young and probably the male one.

From fuiting spike the species can easily be identified.

Thank you …! Why is ACFPoN showing two separate IDs instead mentioning Syn for one?

Yes it is a male plant and looks Piper suipigua. It’s also close to Piper hamiltonii where the male spike is normally shorter than suipigua.

Yes sir, sometimes it reaches upto 20cm.

The leaf morphology should be compared to the female plants for 100% accuracy.

Sir it could be P. mullesua. But needs more representation.

Though it has got no distribution in Nepal, could it be Piper hymenophyllum Miq. ??

Thanks, …, for high resolution detailed images.

Yes, appears close to images at
Piper hymenophyllum (S. India, Sri Lanka, Assam to Indo-China: Assam, India, Laos, Sri Lanka, Vietnam as per POWO)

But only experts can decide in view of this complicated genus.

It may not be hymenophyllum as hymenophyllum has longer fruiting spike and leaves are different in texture.

It probably P. khasianum C. DC
