Trienthema ???

Yes, This is Trianthema portulacastrum, a common weed of the sorghum crop, though a good fodder itself…

nice spotting a weed…

you need to do ev adjustment in your camera to -0.3 to – 0.7 ev to get the white/light pink flowers to show their characteristics…

look at the real color of this flower here at this url:

Trianthema portulacastrum L. (Aizoaceae)- Found wild in the field around my house.

Used as green vegetable in South India. The plant has many medicinal uses: used in the treatment of edema in the liver and spleen, uteralgia, and cough. The plant is lithotriptic for the kidney and bladder. In the Indian traditional medicine system, the plant is considered as a diuretic. It has significant hepatoprotective activity against paracetamol and thio-acetamide intoxication in rats.
The present investigation is to determine the antioxidant activities of the plant extract in relation to paracetamol and thioacetamide intoxication in rats. Ref / Link for more info.

I agree with you about the adjustment in the camera. But the problem is I do not know how to do it. I have 2 flash settings in the camera 1) Red eye correction On/Off 2)Red eye lamp On/off Is that what you are referring to . Which one of these should be on and which one off. There is nothing like ev adjustment that I find in this camera. I have read the manual too.

Some experimenting with the camera has produced better results. I could also see the flower opening and immediately an ant came foraging the flower. This happened within a minute. Attaching pictures of the same. enjoyed both the moments.
