Tree to 15m, shoots with elllipsoid terminal vegetative buds. Leaves coraiceous, elliptic-oblanceolate, 8-11 x 2-3cm, shhortly acuminate, base cuneate, almost glabrous, finely reticulate on both surfaces, lateral veins 7-10 pairs, slender, scarcely prominent; petioles 5-12mm. Flower buds subsessile, globose, scales appressed silky, containing 1-2 large flowers 1.4-1.6cm across. Perianth segments oblong 7-9mm. Fruit c 1.5 x 1cm, reddish, borne on thick woody perianth cup 8-9mm across, on stout pedicel 3-5mm.<\/font><\/span><\/div>\n

This was posted earlier by … in a mixture, as indicated by …(the last image there).\u00a0 Could it possibly be a Ficus?\u00a0 I do not know.\u00a0 I thought of Lauraceae<\/i> as it appeared to have a short cupule at the base of the fruits but I may be mistaken.\u00a0 If Lauraceae<\/i> then I am unable to suggest even a genus.\u00a0 This would have been Lindera <\/i>but I am not seeing any umbellate formation.\u00a0 I am fully confused.<\/p>\n
