More chances of A. margaritacea, as leaves have single midvein.

Yes indeed, … Many many thanks for correcting the ID.

I was also searching for the nerves. I suppose the smaller leaves in the background are those belonging to the species. The ones in the front are from some different plant. Still there appears to be a single vein. I am not sure how much important this character is. The leaves of the said species on FOI appear similar to one displayed here.

VOF Week 300812_DS_08: Another small white flower on the way to VOF. This one is the only pic of this flower.

I noted … advice – to take multiple pic of any sample, it’s foliage pattern etc. But while on field , bending over so small plants and flowers was very troublesome for me due to spondylitis on my neck.

But I hope my friends will sure id it.

Anaphalis margaritacea I hope.

In general all your postings (I mean photographs and presentations) on the subject are superb.

Oh this picture exactly narrates the fate of many plants in Valley of Flowers. Anaphalis overgrown by noxious weed Polygonum polystachyum! This weed has rapidly spread in valley replacing and overgrowing many tiny alpine herbs which can not compete with it. Eradication of this weed by govt agencies is not successful despite of long efforts.

Many thanks … for pointing to this serious domination of Polygonum polystachyum.

Similar happening is found almost throughout the Western Ghats – the spread of Chromolaena odorata.
