\nThis Asteraceae<\/i> family member was observed in Spiti valley.
\n<\/span>Searching “Flowers of the Himalaya” following IDs appear to be possible
\nErigeron multiradiatus
\nPsychrogeton andryaloides <\/i>(said to be found in Lahaul)
\nof course I understand that features are not clear just looking at the picture (esp of this quality)<\/p>\n

Interestingly I had identified this for … from Lahul Spiti, seconded by …, in June 2009. I wonder why it did not reach FOI. efi thread<\/a><\/p>\n

In fact the name was suggested by … as one of the possibilities.<\/p>\n

The earlier flower and id did not reach FOI simply because I was not following efloraofindia discussions regularly.<\/span><\/p>\n

PS: The currently accepted name is Erigeron<\/i> poncinsii<\/i> (Franch.) Botsch.<\/span><\/p>\n

This seems to be what I previously knew as <\/span>Pyschrogeton andryaloides<\/i><\/u> – and is\u00a0listed as such in Stewart and more up-to-date by Dickore & Klimes but now considered as <\/span>Erigeron poncinsii<\/b><\/i><\/u> which ‘Flowers of the Himalaya’ says is <\/span>common on dry stony slopes<\/span> in Ladakh and Lahoul.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
