\nI am attaching the photographs of Wikstroemia uva-ursi (family Thymeliaceae).
\nA spreading shrub 1 to 2 ft height. Photos taken at Guindy National park. Chennai.\u00a0\u00a0Date : Around 2008 August ?
\n<\/span>The plant can be\u00a0used for ground cover (ornamental) also .<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I think this is\u00a0Wikstroemia indica<\/u><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(as per images and details herein), the only listed species in\u00a0Flora of Peninsular India<\/a>\u00a0and as per\u00a0POWO<\/a>.<\/div>\n

Wikstroemia uva-ursi is endemic to Hawaii as per\u00a0POWO<\/a>\u00a0and also looks different as per\u00a0Wikimedia Commons<\/a>.<\/div>\n
