Small shrubby plant having sessile gland on petiole and larger flowers like C. mimosaefolia with 8-10 mm long sepals and slightly longer petals, stamens 7-10. and less number of leaflets (10-20 pairs) which are larger (9-13 mm) and broader (2-3 mm). \u00a0This particular plant, however, had leaflets numbering from 8-14 pairs in the leaves that I saw.<\/span> <\/span>Kindly validate.

Thanks Sir, it means we have seen 3 similar looking species and i missed two out of them.<\/p>\n

This looks like cassia wallichiana<\/em> which also snaped by me from my nearby office during last years.<\/p>\n

Cassia wallichiana<\/em> DC. is a synonym of Chamaecrista leschenaultiana<\/strong><\/em> as indicated by me above. Thanks …, that confirms my identification.

Devgad, Kokan, MH :: Chamaecrista mimosoides for validation :: ARK2021-060<\/a>: 6 images.<\/p>\n
This yellow flower was captured near\u00a0Devgad, coastal Kokan, MH in Aug 2021.<\/span><\/div>\n
It was found flowering on a lateritic rock<\/span>
\nGuessing it to be Chamecrista mimosoides<\/em>.<\/div>\n
Requesting to please validate.<\/p>\n

Seems to Chamaecrista pumila<\/em> ma’am, once again check,<\/p>\n

A relook at the pics suggest:<\/div>\n
– no stalked gland at the base of the leaves<\/span><\/div>\n
– number of pairs of leaflets (<20)<\/span><\/div>\n
– petals as long as or longer than sepals<\/span><\/div>\n
– stamens 5-6<\/div>\n

Is there any other characteristics that could point us to the right ID?<\/p>\n
