Achyranthes coynei<\/i> is rather a big brother of <\/font>A. aspera<\/font><\/i> with much larger plant often reaching 3.5 m tall, much longer spike 35-60 cm long, larger flowers reaching 2 cm in diam. when fully open.<\/font> Pink flowered plants are also found in Western Himalayas, but these clearly belong to A. bidentata<\/i>.\u00a0<\/font>\u00a0<\/div>\n

Perhaps you forgot to mention the place. You may do it to prevent it being confused with pink flowering form of A. bidentata<\/i> in Western Himalayas<\/p>\n

I think it is Achyranthes coynei<\/i> Santapau of Amaranthaceae<\/i> family.<\/p>\n
A habit picture of the plant would complete the set in this thread and would give clarity for the species. <\/p>\n

Achyranthes coynei<\/i> is rather a big brother of A. aspera<\/font><\/i> with much larger plant often reaching 3.5 m tall, much longer spike 35-60 cm long, larger flowers reaching 2 cm in diam. when fully open.<\/font> Pink flowered plants are also found in Western Himalayas, but these clearly belong to A. bidentata<\/i>. <\/font>Above plant needs to to be critically examined as leaves from texture (whatever visible) look like A aspera<\/i> and not A. bidentata<\/i>.<\/p>\n
