Ruellia makoyana<\/i> (monkey plant, trailing velvet plant) is a species<\/span><\/a> of flowering plant<\/span><\/a> in the family<\/span><\/a> Acanthaceae<\/em>, native<\/span><\/a> to Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It is an <\/span>evergreen<\/span><\/a> perennial<\/span><\/a> growing to 60\u00a0cm (24\u00a0in) tall by 45\u00a0cm (18\u00a0in) wide, with white-veined hairy leaves and trumpet-shaped pink flowers in summer.[1]<\/span><\/a><\/sup><\/span><\/div>\n
With a minimum temperature of 12 \u00b0C<\/span> (54\u00a0\u00b0F)<\/span>, in <\/span>temperate<\/span><\/a> regions R. makoyana<\/i> is grown indoors as a <\/span>houseplant<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n

I wanted to confirm if it is Episcia Lilacina<\/em> or ‘Blue flowered Teddy Bear’.<\/div>\n

Seems to be Ruellia mykoana<\/i> (i don’t know why it is called as ‘Monkey plant’<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\nI don’t have much knowledge in this subject.
\nHad found a picture in Hortica that looked similar. But the picture was small and hence I could be wrong.<\/p>\n
