We have been discussing a lot about whether our plant uploaded from Pathankot and other places is S. hispidum<\/em> (now correctly known as S. asperolanatum<\/em><\/strong>) or S. chrysotrichum<\/em>, with which it has often been confused in Floras. While scanning my database I located photograph of former photographed from UCBG, California. This plant with blue flowers is quite distinct from our S. chrysotrichum<\/em>, regarding which we should not have doubt any more.<\/div>\n

Shrub with brown velvety stems and young parts, prickles small, leaves entire to sinuate; flowers blue in small clusters; corolla lobes broader, spreading; fruits about 1 cm across, dark purple with greyish green spots.
