Emergent aquatic herb distinct from A. lanceolatum in its ovate-lanceolate or ovate leaves rounded or cordate at base and obtuse petals; petiole 7-30 cm long; panicle up to 55 cm long with 4-8 erect branches; flowers white, about 1 cm across; sepals elliptic-ovate, up to 3 mm long with membranous margin; petals about twice as long as sepals, claw yellow, limb white (or pink); anthers yellow; achenes 2-3 mm long, pale brown.

I don’t think this is\u00a0\u00a0Alisma lanceolatum\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/i>because the the leaves are not lanceolate, but sagittate (although flowers look very similar). But, I also doubt that this is\u00a0Sagittaria trifolia<\/i>\u00a0either because, even though the leaf is sagittate, it’s not sharply arrow-like as is typical of\u00a0S. trifolia<\/i>\u00a0(as the name Chinese Arrow-head suggests). So, I have a feeling that this could be an different species altogether.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
