Pictures were shot by a friend and sent for ID ! After extensive search I think it should be\u00a0Didymocarpus peducellata<\/i>.<\/div>\n

It may be some other species. Was it cultivated or wild ?<\/div>\n

As verified by \u2026 on other sample this is definitely\u00a0D. primulifolius<\/i>\u00a0D.Don. But only difference I have \u00a0noticed is the specimen given in FoI which looks very much different.<\/div>\n

I don\u2019t think it is D. pedicellatus<\/em>, more closer to Didymocarpus andersonii\u00a0<\/b><\/em>C. B. Clarke<\/p>\n

It\u2019s easy to differentiate D. pedicellatus<\/em> and D. andersonii<\/em>: if you look at the corolla shape, its funnel-form (gradually wider opening) in D.pedicellatus<\/em><\/span> but salver-form (slender tube, narrow opening, with abruptly widening lobes) in D. andersonii<\/em>.<\/span> In D. pedicellatus<\/em> petioles are nearly glabrous<\/span> while in D. andersonii<\/em> its densely pubescent.<\/span><\/p>\n

IMG_9445, 9444, 9449 are of Gesneriaceae family. Some species in\u00a0Didymocarpus<\/i>\u00a0genus<\/span>.<\/p>\n

This is clearly a species of\u00a0Didymocarpus<\/i>\u00a0(Gesneriaceae<\/i>). I suppose it is\u00a0D. primulifolius<\/i>\u00a0D.Don (which is the type species of Didymocarpus, occurring in Nepal, NE India and S China), but confirmation is impossible
\nwithout having authentic materials at hands. Very nice photos!!!<\/p>\n

It appears more closer to\u00a0Didymocarpus\u00a0pedicellatus<\/b>\u00a0R.Br. as per\u00a0GBIF<\/a>\u00a0specimens rather than\u00a0Didymocarpus primulifolius<\/b>\u00a0as per\u00a0GBIF<\/a>\u00a0specimens and\u00a0FoC illustration<\/a>.<\/p>\n
