I think … images are of Nothopegia travancorica as per keys in BSI Flora of india (leave nerves 25-30 and leaves alternate).

Can you check if the branchlets and petioles are rusty villous or quite glabrous, as details are not clear to me (to decide about the species)?

To me it appears like branchlets and petioles are rusty villous.

This is from which set you have posted ?

ID Kannur 02/12/01/22 ? or ID 12/01/22 ?

This is from ID 12/1/22. The one with white coloured flowers. The earlier post of today directed to efloraofindia was that of Kannur 02/12/1/22. The latter shows fruit characteristics. In fact the first one is a straggling shrub and second a small tree. Hence l thought of they being two different species.

OK. than maybe Nothopegia travancorica with branchlets and petioles are rusty villous

Ok sir…but what about the number of lateral veins….?

How many do you see ?

I think around 20 to 25, which I think is OK.

This character is also variable in this genus, as clarified by …

I could see up to 13 pairs only…

I do not think so.

Ok, I will check.

Maybe Nothopegia travancorica as the branchlets and petioles seems to be rusty villous. although not very clear.

Thank you very much for genus ID and direct to take precaution from direct contact with plant.

In my case, no allergic problem when contact with the plant because the branch shown in the images are cut and collected by me directly.
