dont believe this to be Spiranthes sinensis, but cant\u00a0confirm what it is. There is a report of Spiranthes hongkongensis<\/em> from Nepal too, but the colour doesnt\u00a0match, although the overall structure of flowers look like it. Spiranthes hongkongensis<\/em> was described from HK as the name suggests but I have never seen such dark pink colours.
\nIt is good to dissect in the format below. First is S. himalayensis<\/em> (which to me is still a distinct species), second is S. sinensis<\/em>, third S. hongkongensis<\/em>, fourth S. nivea<\/em>. The main purpose of my preparing this dissection was to facilitate easy identification.
