\nIdentified by Botanists and Foresters of Gujarat in a whatsapp group then, I cannot name one single person<\/p>\n

It gets its name from the leaf margin, crenate in distal half.<\/span> Though fruits look similar to Cordia gharaf<\/em>, fruiting calyx margin is lobed<\/p>\n

No Cordia crenata<\/em> in this page. Almost all are Cordia myxa<\/em>, only one or two C. dichotoma<\/em> ….one from Muscat and possibly one from WB Dinajpur . .
\nTo me Cordia myxa<\/em> and Cordia dichotoma<\/em> are distinct though I cannot describe the differences if you ask me. One season I had recorded flowers of both and they were different of course. Unripe fruits are used for pickle making and in season (spring) in market it is always fruit of dichotoma,<\/em> never myxa.<\/em> Here is a post on fb comparing flowers of the two species
