Observed this Agave species with huge inflorescence in Kenya near Lake Nakuru.
Planted Ornamental one most probably.
Agave bracteosa?? Agave attenuata?? Or something else?

bracteosa as far i can remember has narrower strap like leaves and attenuata has the wider soft non-needly leaves…
were there any needles?
if yes it not but I think this does not have needles and hence attennuata and its flowering stalk is very typical of  a beloved plant for landscapin adges of gardens in southern california:
Agave attenuata
common name Foxtail agave

No needles

then a. attennuata foxtail agave.
may be … who may have also photographed it in Sanfrascisco perhaps? can tell us?

Seems to match with images of Agave attenuate
