52-TSP-ID-04MAY2016: Images of Begonia sp (Begoniaceae) for ID : 4 posts by 3 authors. 1 correct image as above.
Kindly identify this Begonia sp (Begoniaceae)
Habit: Herb
Habitat: Wild, Semi-evergreen forest
Sighting: Bhadra Tiger Reserve, Chikmagalur, Karnataka, about 1200 msl
Date: 06-08-2014

Is it Begonia grandis?

There appears to be two plants. Pl. check: Begonia malabarica Lam. & Begonia concanensis A.DC.

Yes, appears close to images at Begonia trichocarpa

1 I think is B. trichocarpa
2 is B. hydrophila Miq., currently a synonym of B. malabarica but it needs resurrecting.

On further scrutiny, I think images 1st and 3rd to 5th belong to the same plant..
