Observed this Caesalpiniaceae shrub amongst mangroves near Dive Agar in Aug 2015
Flower size and pattern resembles that of C.bonduc or C.decapetala

Looks like Caesalpinia crista..

This is Caesalpinia crista common in mangrove backwaters with prickly fruits having cement colored shiny seeds. Called as Gachha kayalu in Telugu. Compare with Gambles Fl. Madras Presid.

This is Caesalpinia crista.

Please identify this straggling shrub armed with spines. It is riparian in nature and from Kannur District of Kerala.

I think a Fabaceae member but I am confused if it is Senna or not. Pl. Check comparative images at efi site: Senna

Caesalpinia bonduc

It is Caesalpinia nuga Ait.-Caesalpiniaceae

I think it must be Caesalpinia crista … syn. Caesalpinia nuga.
