Date: 25-11-2014 and 22-01-2015 very nice flowers. i loved the clear depiction of the thorn/spikelet being short straight ones wow! What colour! Beautiful! Seen this big climber at many places in Kali Tiger Reserve, North Karnataka.

yes According to theplantlist version 1.1. it is Caesalpinia mimosoides. But Hultholia mimosoides (syn. Caesalpinia mimosoides) acording to this link: https://www.revolvy.com/page/Hultholia. Which is correct. If you cut/ break the branchlets you get a smell (acrid /acid smell ?). A man told me in Vithiri that they call it as Puliyindam and use for some medicinal purpose.

I read about this changeover in Wikipedia, about this species being shifted to a monotypic genus … Hultholia mimosoides.
