Only this Clerodendron was know from childhood as called Kadu Koynel or menda. Is it true that the medicine for Malaria is extracted from it? This was also an example of typical cyme?

Shrub ID request – RK50 – 27-Nov-2012: Request id of this shrub from Vasai region. It is around 2 – 3 feet tall and is flowering right now.

This is a species of Clerodendrum, possibly a variant of the Common Hedge Bower [C.inerme].

This bush (at Varca beach, Goa in May 2015) had two types of flowers, one type looked like Clerodendrum inerme, the second I could not identify.
I think they are of the same bush (I tried to find out if they were 2 separate bushes, but it was too dense and hence I am not sure).
