Pollination:
Am posting this image despite it being slightly larger in size and not being about a particular plant species really. However, it does show Pollination in a nice and definitive manner and might be of interest to members.
The image was taken on 11.September 2010, in Patuli, Kolkata, India and to the best of my knowledge the Bee is Apis dorsata and the plant is possibly Malachra capitata.

– These are mine. Taken at my farm at Shahapur [north of Bombay].

skDec14 – Malachra capitata (L.) L. : 3 posts by 2 authors.
Why Linnaeus is twice there in author citation?

Probably due to this..
Sida capitata L. Sp. pl. 2: 685, 1753 (Basionym)
Malachra capitata later published in 1767 by Linnaeus in Syst. Nat. Ed. 12, 2: 458
Mr. Linnaeus probably shifted this species of Sida to a new taxon Malachra, experts will further clarify…

Thank you very much Sir, it happened in few other taxa also, like, Eclipta prostrata (L.) L., Tridax procumbens (L.) L.

It is Malachra capitata L.

Please check for Malachra capitata (Sida capitata) introduced from tropical America

At the outset, it looked like Malachra species. But on comparison with photos in the websites it does not tally. Moreover, the photographs are not clear. If there are other photographs (clear) it would be helpful.

It will be better if you sent images of minimum 800 by 600 pixels (in future) to see the details as I also had lot of difficulties to see the details.

It is Malachra capitata

Please identify this plant.

Since the picture is not clear, I am unable to identify correctly, a guess it is a species of Sida, Epicalyx, essential organ structure needed.

May be Malachra capitata as per images herein, though posted image is not clear with hardly any details.

I posted a plant photograph for identification, without any details.
You identified it as “Malachra capitata“.
Thanks for your identification and for the deep knowledge on plants.

Very nice! this is Malachra capitata, of Malvaceae Brazilian jute, an exotic weed

I did not know it has a Gujarati name …a notorious invasive …and fruits are not bhindi-like (Abelmoschus/ Hibiscus) at all … has potential to become a fiber yielding plant.

yes. i saw it in northern saurashtra about 20 years ago
