Was looking through Pentas lanceolata posts.
Found that there shows two kinds of flowers; one with stamens, other with stigma.

Observed this red insect on the Pentas plant at my home. It was trying to hide under the leaves. Never seen this insect before.

Yes the bug in my post looks exactly the same as in the 1st link you have provided. I also gather from the links that it is a pest for some plants and useful to some other plants. From the 2nd link it is a Soyabean plant pest. Fortunately I have no Soyabean plants in my garden so need not worry :). Thanks again for the help. I have seen such green bugs in the past but never brown. The green bugs really stink.
