This seems to be Persicaria hydropiper (L.) Spach

Persicaria hydropiper L.
Photographed from Manali

Perhaps Persicaria lapathifolia, photographed along Nagin Lake in Kashmir, please validate.

As per my observations, inflorescence are densely flowered and not interrupted in P. lapathifolia.

I would rather go with P. hydropiper here.

Comments are welcome.

Thanks …

Good that I am uploading plants from different places separately, especially when there is some doubt.

Seen in Pahalgam, during visit in Sept, 2011.

Glabrous stem, lax inflorescence with white to pink perianth pointing to P. hydropiper.

Requesting to please validate ID of this Persicaria captured near Manali, HP in October 2014.

I hope this is Persicaria hydropiper (based on FoI pics).

In old threads I have been told that P. hydropiper has lax flowered inflorescence. FoC or FoP also supports that. Yet overall looks of this plant is like that of P. hydropier – http://herbier.sesa-aude.fr/Polygonum-hydropiper. Please ensure leaf base is cuneate which is not clear in the attached pictures.

Thanks … for the info….

I am uploading a cropped pic of the leaf base…

These plants are flanking the roadside wherever there is running rainwater. The plants I photographed are growing next to cultivated fields. These are about three-feet tall and growing in clusters. I think this is Persicaria hydropiper but I am not entirely sure. Please advise.
