On my walk last Sunday, I found this shrub growing next to the water. There were many of these around with their dry seedpods hanging like tassels. I dug up my old pictures from the same area from last summer and are posting them here together. It is likely Sorbaria tomentosa (or perhaps S. sorbifolia). Please advise.

Check with Lythraceae

Rosaceae ??

Pl. check Spiraea

Sorbus microphylla (Wallich ex J. D. Hooker) Wenzig ??

Sorry to intrude but those leaflets just don’t look right for Sorbus….. look too long to be Sorbus microphylla.

My pics below show Sorbaria sorbifolia Sem

Thank you … for the lead. This is Sorbaria tomentosa (Lindl.) Rehder, only one sp. having distribution in Nepal.
