Habit : Herb It is Themeda villosa it the awn of the fertile spikelet is not well developed. Otherwise it is Themeda caudata owing to the false racemes being in cluster of 2 to 3. Kindly open up the spikelet to check. Themeda arundinacea has tubercle based bristles on the lower glumes of the involucral spikelets, whereas, this picture shows only puberulous hairs.
