Just found an image of Tithonia diversifolia posted in this group. I thought , it would be good to post image of another similar flower, belonging to same family. Here is my picture-
Found this beautiful flower in October 2010 , in Uttarakhand trip – near Shyamlatal ashrama.
Botanical name: Tithonia rotundiflora
Common name: Mexican sunflower
Plant height: about 4 feet

The flower is Tithonia rotundiflora. The petals seems to be drooping because of under watering.

Yes I have seen this growing gregariously on roadside in open areas around Pune too.
Thought the name would be some Aster…….
