Gori Valley Tour: Succulent Herb for id from Shilling-1: This one was shot from near Shilling.. a very small, succulent herb, quadrifoliate at nodes, all leaves equal in size…. Pepromia sp. perhaps… help required for id..

I hope Peperomia tetraphylla

This delicate herb was shot from Shilling area in Gori Valley, I hope this can be Peperomia tetraphylla..
Please validate/correct the id..

To me it is P.tetraphylla. Found on tree trunks or less often over rocks.

Yes, I think so

It springs up in plants soil in the tubs in the balcony when we use soil from the garden without sterilizing.   Right now I have about 6 of them sprouting in my tulsi tub.  In the tub though they are much lighter colored leaves than what you have.  I used to pinch them off until i discovered some papers indicating it may have some medicinal value so I am letting them grow to full maturity in the tub and hope they don’t take up all the nutrition meant for the Tulsi.

Thanks … for supporting the id..
Yes …, this can grow in any shady & moist place.. but I think this is quite harmless plant even with regard to utilizing minerals from soil..
I think this will add more or less same amount of organic matter as much as this consumes, because of its short life span..
Thanks for your interest and for sharing the information…

Not seeking ID. Just for records.

I have made a terrible mistake by considering the plant as Porpax sp. !!

One of my flickr friend … alerted me with the corrected ID: Peperomia tetraphylla of Piperarceae.

is it??? Did you put wrong pics? What I see here is a Piperaceae member.

I mistook the plant totally.

I got to know only when I got a comment in my flickr photostream.
