Thylacospermum species in India:
1. Thylacospermum caespitosum (Cambess.) Schischk. (Jammu & Kashmir, Hiimachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Nepal, Sikkim)
2. Thylacospermu rupifragrum (Kar. & Kir.) Schrenk. (Karakoram area of Jammu & Kashmir)
These two species are similar in appearance and make hard cushions over ground in higher alpine zones. However can be differentiated as:
Tetramerous flowers (4 sepals, 4 petals, 8 stamens, capsule valves-4)………. T. caespitosum
Pentamerous flowers (5 sepals, 5 petals, 10 stamens, capsule valves-6) ……. T. rupifragrum

I have added names of Indian species on the page of Thylacospermum (Caryophyllaceae) based on a new reference (Pusalkar 2015).

Thanks a lot, … You always take the lead to add a lot of new things.
