–  Is this a weed of Tea plantation and paddy fields?
Yes .., the genera is Drymaria sp. of Caryophyllaceae.

– Could this be Drymaria villosa Chamisso & Schlechtendal, Linnaea. 5: 232. 1830.? as per http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=242000524

Because the leaves are almost hirsute here (my plant).

Drymaria villosa !!

Family: Caryophyllaceae
Habitat: garden weed
Location: a private property in Ooty, Nilgiris, Tn

Is this id right? I chose the specific epithet to be villosa because of the hairy nature of leaves.

Another very good upload

I guess so!

Caryophyllaceae member,

Could be Stellaria sp.,

All images are of the same plant. No mix up with any other.

Thanks, … for the genus id.
I could not find a match to all the three species reported from Tamilnadu as per comparative images at Stellaria

I think this is Drymaria villosa Cham. & Schltdl. as per images, details and references herein.

I guess you are right …!

Thank you, …, for correcting me,
