Kindly identify this flowering potted plant in my garden
I have just got it a few days back from a local roadside nursery and the man knows nothing about this plant

I suppose it is Torenia fourneri form scrophulariaceae.

its one of the few garden grown plants whose flowers looking face on has a square framee like face!!!!
violet and I have seen scarlet-pink both with white and yellow neck and throat

Torenia fournieri Linden ex E.Fourn. is rarely seen wild herb in Pantnagar though it is an invasive alien species in India.
Now it is in the family Linderniaceae.

This beautiful flower was “presented” to me by one of my students during our recent tour to Dharamshala-Kangra-McLeodganj (H.P.)…
This was found as an escape near war memorial Dharamshala, I hope this is Torenia fournieri ‘Catalina Pink’… please validate/correct..

yes wishbone flower… look closely a wishbone appears on the two petals… further classification of cultivar …dont know… how to do using digital photos… where pink / red colors vary greatly to my eyes at least ..
many pinks appear in the trade catalogs, names different in uk or australian or us nurseries…
catalina pink name appears in american catalogs… even they look a little violetish to me, ie pink with some violet tinges … at least on blogger/gardener agrees.
so take your pick at to the cultivars name. SInce its a garden escape, and Dharamshala is full of americans it may well be catalina pink that someone brought in and planted

This herb with beautiful flowers was shot from Dak Patthar, perhaps this is Torenia fournieri Linden ex E. Fourn. Linderniaceae..
