Agree with …, Jasminum flexile, most probably J. flexile var ovata? Jasminum flexile var. ovatum (I hope you meant ovatum not ovata) is become synonym of J. flexile Vahl, according to “the plant list” http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl/record/kew-351955 ANJAN45/45 Jasminum sp. for identification : 10 posts by 5 authors. Family: Oleaceae It could be Jasminum coarctatum Could be Jasminum malabaricum If it has fragrance it is Juhi. Thank you ….
As with any Jasminum sp. the first thing I did was to check the smell. Forgot to include this detail in the initial post. There was NO fragrance. Jasminum species in eFloraofindia (with details/ keys from published papers/ regional floras/ FRLHT/ FOI/ Biotik/ efloras/ books etc., where ever available) The images are of Jasminum flexile var. flexile. This is Jaminum flexile var. travancorense, not J.flexile var. flexile as suggested by … Names of Plants in India :: Jasminum flexile Vahl : 3 posts by 2 authors. 1 image.

Names of Plants in India :: Tamil name of Jasminum flexile : 6 posts by 2 authors. I think “irampanam” is not a Tamil word (or at least I don’t know!). Google search shows that it is a name of a place in Kerala. So it could be a Malayalam name. OK, thanks very much, … I found an entry of ramabanam mullai in The Useful Plants of India published by NISCAIR. Does it help to arrive to any valid spelling ? Yes, …!
Ramabanam mullai may be written as இராமபாணம் முல்லை. Thank you very much …! Great help !! Date/Time- 30-10-2010
Location- Chirang RF, Assam Habitat- WILD Plant Habit- Climber Leaves Size- 3-5X 2.5-3cm Flowers Colour White Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds- Not seen Other Information like Fragrance, Pollinator, Uses No fragrance – Looks like a variety of Jasminum adenophyllum.
Common name: Bluegrape jasmine, Princess jasmine.
There are many variieties of this climber. One has to check the fruits also for confirmation of the identification. Supposed to be endemic to Meghalaya ? I think this appears close to images at Jasminum flexile Vahl . Jasminum caudatum Wall. ex Lindl. Yes it is Jasminum caudatum, dear …, thank you very much for ID my plant, I do not think so. To me appears close. Thank you very much for ID. It is very close to J. flexile, but some differences also: most of J. flexile flowers have 5 petals, veins and midrib are more raised in upper epidermis, non visibility of micro glands in midrib in upper epidermis and more elliptic than petals of my plant. Flowers with 5 petals are very rare in my plant. Yes, there is variation in the number of petals (in general in Jasminum). Also pl. see Ok dear …, thank you very much for providing the link. Then please conclude the ID, … also identified as J. flexile, when petals are less than or 5, thanks a lot,
