how long a telephoto lens did you end up using for this must be relatively high up in the branches….
I have been periodically looking at the pictures during this day, every time I look at it, makes me wistful that I was there atleast to have seen it… I always like this play of light and shadow…

I used 45 – 200 lens at its tele-end.
It was low light; no specific setting; it was point metering, point and shoot in program mode

Another beautiful epiphyte.
Noticable characters Pseudobulb with 2 or more leaves. Inflorescence terminal.

Strange that the flowers looks so small!!

And ofcourse there is an interesting Bulbophyllum in the third pic which I have no idea without flowers!! Could you identify it in field?

About 6 years back, had seen such orchids in my earlier trip to Coorg.

I think it is Coelogyne breviscapa. But not yet sure of Bulbophyllum below.

The other orchid seems like Trias stocksii now called Bulbophyllum stocksii. … identified it.
