Kalanchoe integra: This is related to … post of Kalanchoe spathulata – which is integrated in eFI taxon K. integra.
Please, see the attached screenshot that informs Kalanchoe integra has some confusion. According to GRIN it is synonym of K. spathulata DC. –http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/taxon.pl?430177.
Kalanchoe spathulata DC. is accepted taxon in GRIN – http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/taxon.pl?21092.
Flora of British India, vol.2, p414 informs that the plant is distributed in tropical Himalaya, from Bhutan to Kashmir.
Though The Plant List, FoC and FoP equate K. spathulata DC. with Kalanchoe integra (Medikus) Kuntze, I think we should maintain the taxon as Kalanchoe spathulata DC. as in GRIN and In F. B. I.
More so because :-
  1. FoNA doesn’t equate K. integra with K. spathulata – http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=1&taxon_id=241000241
  2. Cotyledon spathulata (DC.) Poir. of FoC is different in The Plant List – http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl/record/kew-2740351

I have gone through your details furnished.
Regarding “Why should we go for confusion when we have clear dictate from GRIN and F. B. I.?”-> I think Both your FBI page as well as GRIN did not mention Kalanchoe integra (Medikus) Kuntze anywhere directly. Record of GRIN has been updated in 2005, while The Plant List was released in 2010.
Kalanchoe integra auct. (not of the author) is a different species from Kalanchoe integra (Medikus) Kuntze.
Thank you for elaborating on two K. integra.
Though The Plant List is latest (than the GRIN) yet it offers only one STAR for K. spathulata DC.!

thanks but those are not the leaves

they are the bracts of the flowering spike
they protect the flower buds as they develop and the spike shoot up above the rosette of real leaves…
real leaves are at the bottom
in this case it would be way at the bottom almost near the soil

but i dont know if other kalanchoes with oval leaves do that… I think they do
but for that one need the whole plant to look at…

–  It is a variety of “Flaming Katy“. The bot name is something like “Brosfeldiana“.

– This is one of the ornamental Kalanchoe species.  Very common in Chennai gardens during Jan – Feb.   However, the most common one is the red variety.

– I agree with .., Kalanchoe blossfeldiana

I guess this is Kalanchoe integra (Medik.) Kuntze only.

Waited for one year for flowering at home.

Do you have any wild species listed in your books?
I think Kalanchoe integra (Medik.) Kuntze may be reported, but flowers are yellow.
So one possibility is as suggested by … (but that is a cultivated species):

This plant was collected in the forest, and it is growing wild. Not cultivated.

I did not find any specimen or images of this on the net.

Some botanists (I did not remember their names) told me this plant was Kalanchoe roseus which also found in Nagaland. But this plant was identified as Kalanchoe integra by BSI, Shillong.

I am keeping it as Kalanchoe integra (Medik.) Kuntze only for the time being.
