This is very close to Z. chrysanthum but need further studies

This is Zingiber roseum as identified by … I am attaching some more images of flower and matured inflorescence with seeds.
Attachments (4) – around 800 kb each.

For me too looks like Z. chrysanthum. Elevation, date and  location?

It is Zingiber roseum, its inflorescence/flower is different from Zingiber chrysanthum however the seeds and matured red inflorescence looks similar to Z.chrysanthum.
Date and location is already mentioned please go through the main post sir.

Ok …  Noted.

But the pictures initially uploaded by you were identified as Z. chrysanthum by …
Did you post another plant in the same post?

This is the similar plant.
Earlier it was said by … ‘This is very close to Z. chrysanthum but need further studies’
But as its flowers looks different from all other plants posted as Z.chrysanthum on site. After sending more detailed images that I have attached recently … replied its ‘Zingiber roseum. labellum shows slight variation’
Moreover it is also matching with other images of Z.roseum present on site.

Thanks, … I was worried as further reply of … was not in the thread.

I am not sure Zingiber chrysanthum Roscoe !

To me looks different from images at Zingiber chrysanthum

It is close to Z. chrysanthum or Z. roseum

Images of Z. roseum from different sources does not look like matching:

We have collected Z.roseum from different localities starting from Andhra Pradesh to Mizoram, which shows wide range of variation. I will study this again.

If you have more photos, pl. post, to show other aspects for proper id.

Looks like Z. roseum.

Commelinales and Zingiberales Week :: Zingiberaceae ::Zingiber rubens:
Zingiber rubens Roxb. (Zingiberaceae) found common in the deciduous forests of Western Assam. It flowers during monsoon.

To me it appears more closer to images at Zingiber roseum (Roxb.) Roscoe

Z. roseum
