This plant, even the family is new to me. But i very much want to find a similar looking herb, very nice looking, a white ball on a stick!
But google search gives many similar looking plants of various species of the same genus.

This family seems to be less documented in the net.
Some genera in the family are Blastocaulon, Eriocaulon, Lachnocaulon, Leiothrix, Mesanthemum, Paepalanthus, Philodice, Syngonanthus,Toninahttp://www.elhogarnatural.com/familias/FamiliasE.htm.

Confirm whether any root tubers are present

Eriocaulon tuberiferum is the lone species with tubers in India.

Many thanks … for this important key information.
