These pictures were taken in Sept, 2011 in Pahalgam.
Had posted these earlier on our group.
… had posted on Daves Garden site for verification.
They were identified as Rudbeckia hirta.
The closest that we could match was Rudbeckia hirta ‘Denver Daisy’ or Kelvedon Star’ on their site.
For id verification please.

Is this Gaillardia grandiflora? Or Rudbeckia?


Gaillardia is much different looking.
It is Rudbeckia hirta I suppose.

grown in gardens from seeds, most likely cultivars, i usually need the seed pack for name.
cant be classified into the zonal varieties that grow wild in USA (see wiki page for the regional names)
