Lindernia pusilla (Willd.) Bold. (Syn: Lindernia caespitosa (Blume) Panigrahi; Lindernia hirta (Cham. & Schltdl.) Pennell; Lindernia laxa (Benth.) Mukherjee; Torenia hirta Cham. & Schltdl.; Vandellia scabra Benth.) as per IUCN Red List (LC);

Small plant for identification 150113MK01: 3 correct images as above.

Please help me to identify this small herb found on the estuary region. The size of the plant was very small (1-2 inches only), and they were in full bloom on the ground. Is this any Scrophulariaceae?
Date: 27 Dec 2012
Place: Point Calimere, Nagapatinam Dist., TN
Habitat: clayey soil in coastal region
Alt.: 1 – 3 m asl

Please check against Veronica sp., perhaps V.buccabunga
But the typical exserted stamens and stigma of veronica is not seen in the picture, and I did not think this genus was found in S. India plains.

Last three photos belong to Lindernia caespitosa. First photos I don’t have any idea

Looks very close from the images at:
Linderniaceae: Lindernia crustacea

The first five pictures are of Dopatrium nudicaule.

There are 8 images- 5 of which are not Lindernia. The three images showing a flower with virtually absent posterior corolla lobes is a reasonable match for L. pusillaThis species is now more properly known as Yamazakia pusilla. There is a decent description of this species in Philcox and in Austrobaileya 9(1): 126–129 (2013).
